How We Support Residents
Located in San Diego’s College Area near San Diego State University, The Recovery Collective provides adult men with a supportive home, individualized coaching, case management, community, and practical support as they work toward greater stability and independence.
Supportive Housing & Community
A stable, substance-free home environment designed around structure, accountability, connection, and increasing independence.
Individual Coaching
Individualized support with goal setting, routines, executive functioning, health and wellness, relationships, recovery, and creating a meaningful life outside the home.
Case Management
Coordination of goals, appointments, outside providers, family communication when appropriate, and the different pieces of each resident’s recovery plan.
Vocational & Academic Support
Help identifying employment, educational, and volunteer opportunities, along with resumes, applications, interview preparation, scheduling, and accountability.
Health, Wellness & Community Integration
Support building sustainable routines around exercise, nutrition, recreation, hobbies, friendships, recovery communities, and meaningful activities throughout San Diego.
Recovery Support
For residents with co-occurring substance use concerns, recovery support can be incorporated into their individualized plan, including connection with appropriate community resources and recovery groups.
Medication Routine & Appointment Support
Residents remain responsible for their medications and work directly with their prescribing providers. TRC can provide structure, reminders, accountability, and assistance coordinating appointments and refills when appropriate.
Offsite Therapy & Psychiatry
Therapy, psychiatry, and other licensed clinical services are provided offsite and are not included in the TRC monthly fee. These services may be covered by insurance depending on the provider and the resident’s individual plan. Residents may continue working with their existing providers or receive assistance connecting with appropriate providers in the community.
Life Skills & Independent Living
Support with cooking, meal planning, budgeting, organization, transportation, household responsibilities, time management, and other skills needed for successful independent living.
